Privacy notice
Last updated: October 5, 2026
This notice explains what happens to your information when you visit getactve.app or join the Actve waitlist. We've kept it short and only describe what actually happens.
Who we are
Actve is made by ST Studio, the trading name of Salma Turki, a sole trader based in the UK. Salma is responsible for your information (the "data controller").
Contact: hello@getactve.app
What we collect
Joining the waitlist is optional. We only need your email address to add you to it.
When you join the waitlist:
- your email address
- whether you ticked the optional box to get updates before launch
When you sign up, our email service, Kit, also automatically records:
- the date you signed up
- which signup form you used, and the web page you signed up from
- campaign details, if the link you followed to our site included them (for example, which post it came from)
- your approximate location (town and country), worked out from your IP address
We use this as proof that you agreed to join.
When you visit the website:
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, handles basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, so it can deliver the page to you and protect the site from attacks.
That's everything. We don't ask for your name, and we don't collect anything about your skin, hair or health on this website.
Why we use it, and our legal basis
- To email you when Actve launches. Legal basis: your consent, which you give by joining and confirming your email.
- To send occasional updates before launch, but only if you ticked the box. Legal basis: your consent.
- To deliver and protect the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a working, secure website.
- To see which links in our emails are useful. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving our emails. You can object at any time by emailing hello@getactve.app, or stop it entirely by unsubscribing.
You can withdraw your consent at any time. Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or email hello@getactve.app. Withdrawing doesn't affect anything we did before you withdrew.
Who handles your information for us
We use two service providers. They may only use your information to provide their service to us:
- Kit (kit.com) stores the waitlist and sends our emails.
- Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) hosts the website.
Both are based in the United States, so your information may be handled outside the UK and the European Union. Both providers use recognized legal safeguards for international transfers, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) and standard contractual clauses approved by the UK and EU authorities.
Kit and Cloudflare also use their own service providers, under contracts that require them to protect your information (see Kit's data processing terms and Cloudflare's privacy policy).
We don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
What we don't do
- No cookies on this website.
- No analytics or tracking pixels on this website.
- No advertising.
- We never sell your information, and we never share it with advertisers.
- No automated decisions about you.
About our emails: Our emails don't track whether you open them. When you click a link in one of our emails, Kit records which link you clicked and when, so we can see which updates people find useful. We don't use this for advertising and never share it with advertisers.
How long we keep it
- If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information, we'll delete it from Kit within 30 days. Kit may keep a minimal record of your email address so you're never emailed again by mistake.
- If Actve doesn't launch, we'll email everyone on the waitlist to let them know, then delete the whole list within 30 days. We'll also do this if Actve hasn't launched by December 31, 2028.
- Cloudflare keeps its technical records for a limited time, under its own retention rules.
Age
The waitlist is for adults 18 and over. If we learn that someone under 18 has joined, we'll delete their information.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- access: tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy,
- correct: fix anything that's wrong,
- delete: erase your information,
- restrict: pause how we use your information, for example while we check something you've told us is wrong,
- object: stop using your information, including for the website-security purpose above,
- withdraw consent: stop emailing you (the unsubscribe link does this instantly),
- move it: give you your information in a common format to take elsewhere.
To use any of these rights, email hello@getactve.app. We'll reply within one month. It's free, and we may ask you to confirm it's really you before we act.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to a data protection regulator:
- UK: the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk
- Elsewhere: your local data protection authority.
Changes to this notice
We'll update this notice before the Actve app launches, because the app will collect more information than this waitlist does. If we make an important change that affects the waitlist, we'll email you about it. The "last updated" date at the top always shows the latest version.
